Jim Doolittle is an avid runner and triathlete. In the time span of 14 years, he has completed an amazing 80 races ranging from 5K to full marathons, and triathlons ranging from sprint distance to full Ironman distance. In 2006 he completed the Wisconsin Ironman and in 2008 the Lake Placid Ironman. He instills beginning runners and triathletes with his philosophy to "enjoy the journey." His training plans focus on small incremental improvements with a gradual buildup of endurance and most importantly attention toward having fun and forming lifelong fitness habits. Jim coaches the Memorial Health & Lifestyle Center’s Time2Train 5K and 10K, the Fall Frolic/Salmon Chase 10K and the 13.1 Sunburst half marathon program. |

Dave Woods has been a competitive swimmer for over 35 years and participating in triathlons for the last 11 years. He holds certifications in personal training through Cooper Aerobics Institution and Aerobics and Fitness Association of America and has Pilates Mat training. This year will be his 20th year as the Washington High School’s swim coach. He competes in Masters Swim Meets and continues to do the International Police and Fire Games, where over the years he has won several medals. His triathlon experience ranges from sprints to half Ironman distances. He plans on celebrating his 60th birthday with a full Ironman this year. Dave has run several swim camps here at the H&LC. He believes that swimming should be an activity we can do our entire lives. |
