Personal Trainers

bennett

Greg Bennett graduated from Michigan State University with a Master's Degree in Exercise Physiology and has been employed at the H&LC for the past 25 years. He currently is the Clinical Integration & Community Health Coordinator. Greg is professionally certified by the National Academy of Sports Medicine as a Corrective Exercise Specialist, and by the American College of Sports Medicine as a Registered Clinical Exercise Physiologist.

Greg assists clients in achieving their goals of improving strength, flexibility and endurance by designing safe and effective fitness programs. He specializes in sports-specific custom exercise program design and implementation, and working with special populations including cardiac rehabilitation patients and post physical therapy rehabilitation patients. He also works with patients who have neuromuscular disorders, musculoskeletal and immunologic conditions.

Greg is also a member of the interdisciplinary team for Memorial Hospital’s Bariatric Surgery & Weight Loss Center. He is a Biometrics coach for the Biometrics Weight Management Program and a Certified Functional Movement Screening Specialist.

benjamin

Sarah Benjamin has worked at Memorial Health & Lifestyle Center for 7 years – and currently is the Fitness Promotions Manager, Personal Trainer and Cancer Fitness Specialist. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science from Bethel College and holds certifications in AFAA for Personal Training and Balanced Body for Pilates Mat and Reformer training.

Sarah also spends her time coaching varsity volleyball for Edwardsburg High School and working at the new Restorative Fitness Center for Oncology Patients in Memorial as a Cancer Fitness Specialist – she received her Certification through the Rocky Mountain Cancer Rehabilitation Institute in Greely, Colorado.

She is proud to work at the only Fitness Center for Oncology Patients in this region. Sarah’s passion is personal training and getting clients to reach their goals and objectives and enjoys working with high school athletes.

stukel

Del Stukel attended Michigan State University and is the Senior Fitness Specialist/Personal Training Coordinator for the Memorial Health and Lifestyle Center.

Del has worked for over 16 years for the H&LC and teaches Ball, Pilates, Step, Strength and Reformer Classes. She holds an AFAA Personal Training Certification, AFAA Group Exercise Certification, and is PHI and Balance Body Pilates Mat, Reformer and Cadillac Certified. Del loves helping people reach their goals, which can range from post-rehab Pilates reformer training to running the Boston Marathon.

woods

Dave Woods has been a competitive swimmer for over 35 years and has participated in triathlons for the last 11 years. He holds certifications in personal training through Cooper Aerobics Institution and AFFA and has Pilates Mat training.

This year will be his 20th year as the Washington High School’s swim coach. He presently competes in Masters Swim Meets and continues to do the International Police and Fire Games where over the years he has won several medals for his events. His triathlon experience ranges from sprints to half Ironman distances.

He plans on celebrating his 60th birthday with a full Ironman next year. Dave has run several swim camps here at the H&LC. He believes that swimming should be an activity that we can do our entire lives.

foster

James Foster has been a personal trainer since 2001 and has been a part of the Health & Lifestyle Center since 2005. James has attended IUSB for 2 years and plans to further his education at Bethel College with a degree in Exercise Science.

He currently holds certifications in NASM, NSCA and ACE for personal training. James holds a strong client base were many of his clients are geared towards strength training.

sexton

Jeremy Sexton holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nutrition Fitness & Health from Purdue University. He is a certified Health/Fitness Specialist through ACSM (American College of Sports Medicine.)

Jeremy gained experience in nutrition counseling and exercise programming at the Ismail Center on campus at Purdue while a student in the Foods & Nutrition Department. His training is geared toward the general population with a focus on cardio respiratory fitness.

Jeremy’s personal interests include nutrition for bodybuilding and innovative strength training protocols.

korpal

Jared Korpal is a Fitness Specialist at Memorial Health and Lifestyle Center. He attended Ball State University and Bethel College graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Exercise Science.

Currently certified through The National Strength and Conditioning Association as an NSCA-Certified Personal Trainer and was recently certified in Group Exercise through AFAA. Along with the Health & Lifestyle Center he is one of the Fitness Specialists at the Restorative Fitness Center in Oncology at Memorial Hospital and has experience working with physical therapy clients.

With a lifelong passion for fitness he encourages clients by promoting the idea that it is never to late to change and to not be afraid to try new ways to challenge oneself. He believes fitness should be both mentally stimulating and physically demanding.

schutz

Ashley Schutz holds a Personal Training Certification with AFAA and a proud employee of the Health & Lifestyle Center. After graduating from Indiana University, with a bachelor’s degree in Theatre & Drama and Fine Arts, she pursued a business career until realizing her true passion was in Health & Fitness.

Her journey began two years ago after losing 37 pounds. It was then that she changed her mind and decided to take control of her life. Discovering that motivation is the key factor in lifestyle changes, she looks forward to motivating individuals to choose a healthy lifestyle!

Ashley is a contributing writer to MuscleandStrength.com, a spokes model for bodybuilding.com and competed in her first Figure Competition on October, 2010.

Bill Frame has been a part of the Health Lifestyle Center since 2004 as a Fitness Specialist and Personal Trainer. He leads the popular and well participated Health & Lifestyle Center Hiking Club.

Bill graduated from IU and holds his personal training certification with Ace. He specializes in working with aging populations. He is available weekdays in the morning, and afternoons upon prior notice.

hardy

Bridget Hardy is a trainer committed to every aspect of fitness. As a longtime group exercise instructor, she enjoys teaching everything from Strength classes to Zumba.

Never an athlete, she believes anyone can achieve substantial fitness goals and find peace of mind — and body — through the practice of regular exercise. Bridget is actively seeking clients interested in getting away from FitLinxx and into the next level of strength fitness, or anyone looking to start an accessible but challenging program.

As a writer and chronic computer user, she's particularly committed to the importance of postural strength, flexibility and body awareness for those who nobly sit at a desk all day.

Bridget is certified by the American Fitness and Aerobics Association (AFAA) as a personal trainer and group exercise instructor. In her free time she enjoys fiction, salsa dancing, and getting plenty of physical activity with her five year-old son.

Morgan Miller

Morgan Miller played Division I Volleyball and earned a Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology from Indiana University of Bloomington majoring as a Fitness Specialist. She is a certified personal trainer through the American Council of Exercise (ACE)and an AFAA group exercise instructor.

Morgan coaches club volleyball at the high school level for the Network Volleyball Club of Northern Indiana. She’s experienced in working with athletes, beginners, elderly, moderate and inactivity levels and enjoys working with clients that are ready and willing to reach their exercise goals.
